Opening the past. Archaelogical Open Data

The Department of Archaeology of the University of Pisa is organizing the conference "Opening the past. Archaelogical Open Data" on June the 9th, within MAPPAproject.

The conference aims at being an international one-day event for exchanging information and discussing about archaeological open data issues.

The event will compare the different viewpoins of directors, researchers, professionals, philosophers, etc.
A place for exchanging ideas and getting discussion under way on issues of great relevance in a country that is still far from meeting European standards of data sharing and reuse.
Opening the Past is organised by MAPPAproject. During the event the Beta version of the first Italian open data archaeological archive will be presented.
